Here’s a concept of vacations that I’m beginning to embrace: the joy of no schedules. As an embarrassingly scrupulous planner, the kind that gets to an airport 2-3 hours before a flight (cringe) and tends to keep company with Excel-wielding travel buddies (nerd alert)… being with a guy who lives on a much more horizontal plane, visiting a city which naturally allows for laid-back, care-free living was just the change of pace needed after a busy few months of work.
Now home to our sweet friends Nathalie and Ben (whose exceptional taste can be seen here on Nathalie’s beautiful blog, here with their Lisbon discoveries, and here with Ben’s ingenious game developer bio page) Lisbon - the city of custard tarts, hilly streets and ‘miradouras’ has become a welcome destination escape.
Voted 2019’s Leading City Break Destination in Europe by the World Travel Awards , we couldn’t have asked for a lovelier few days discovering the city for a second time round.
